Jose Berrios Notches Quality Start
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios recorded his second quality start of the season in a no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday. Berrios tossed six innings of two-run ball, surrendering six hits and five walks while fanning just one batter. He clearly didn't have his best control, as he fell behind in the count to 13 of the hitters he faced. Berrios's five free passes were the most he's allowed in a game this season, though he was still able to keep runs off the board, despite the traffic on the basepaths. Berrios owns a 3.49 ERA through 38 2/3 innings pitched and will take on an Athletics team that he held to one run over five innings on April 20.
