6 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies reliever Jose Alvarado blew the save on Sunday by allowing three runs (two earned) in 2/3 of an inning against the New York Mets. He was also saddled with the loss. It was just the second blown save of the season for the 29-year-old. Alvarado issued a pair of walks and two singles before recording an out and also hit a batter to force in a run. It was not a pretty performance from Alvarado, but he is still the go-to guy in the Phillies bullpen. Expect him to get the team's next save chance when they kick off a series against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
