Jose Altuve Placed On DL With Knee Soreness
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with right knee soreness after sitting out the past few games with the injury. The move will be retroactive to July 26 and infielder Tyler White will be called up from Triple-A Fresno in a corresponding move. The injury comes at a crucial point in the season for fantasy owners as the playoffs approach. Altuve has been a staple in fantasy lineups, hitting .329 with 46 RBI and 14 steals. While fantasy owners will not be able to find a second baseman who can replace Altuve's production, guys like Jose Peraza (75% owned), Rougned Odor (65%), and Ian Kinsler (43%) are available and have been hot lately.
