Jose Aldo suffered a split decision loss to Mario Bautista on the main card of UFC 307. The Brazilian was controlled for most of the fight as Bautista was able to push him against the fence and hold him there as he was controlled for over two minutes in all three rounds. Aldo did have solid third round as he outstruck Bautista but it was too little too late as he lost a split decision. With the loss, Aldo dropped to 32-9 as a pro and 14-8 in the UFC. The Brazilian still remains a top-15 bantamweight despite the loss.

Jose Aldo (32-8) is set to take on Mario Bautista on the main card of UFC 307 on Saturday. Aldo is coming off a decision win over Jonathan Martinez in May in his return to the UFC after taking a brief break to box. Despite winning his last fight, Aldo enters the bout as the underdog as DraftKings has the Brazilian at a salary of $7,770. In the UFC, Aldo is 14-7 with four wins by stoppage while he's been finished four times. If the Brazilian can turn back the clock one more time, he could very well be in the conversation for a title shot.

Jose Aldo scored a unanimous decision win over Jonathan Martinez in the co-main event of UFC 301. The Brazilian was fighting in MMA for the first time since 2022 and entered the bout against the 12th-ranked bantamweight as the underdog. The first round was very competitive, but Aldo took over in the second and third rounds, as he outstruck Martinez in all three rounds. He ended up out-landing Martinez 101-to-80 to get a clear-cut decision win. With the win, Aldo is now 32-8 and 14-7 in the UFC, but that was the final fight of his contract so his future in MMA is uncertain.
