Jose Abreu Isn't In Thursday's Lineup
3 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu (neck) isn't in the team's starting lineup on Thursday. The veteran has a stiff neck and won't start against the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Carlos Hernandez. Abreu is enjoying another productive season for both the White Sox and fantasy managers, batting .246 with a .330 on-base percentage, 18 home runs, and a stolen base in 409 plate appearances. Gavin Sheets is getting the start at first base on Thursday and is batting cleanup. Sheets is hitting just .227 in his first 75 Major League plate appearances but has also collected six home runs. If you're looking for home run potential in a streaming option, Sheets could be someone to take a look at.
