Jorge Soler Sitting Against Tigers
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the visiting Detroit Tigers. Soler will take a seat while struggling since the All-Star break. He's also started the last 26 games, so it's a good time for him to get a mental break with Avisail Garcia coming back from the injured list. Garrett Cooper is making the start as the designated hitter and is batting third against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Soler has provided plenty of power for his fantasy managers by clubbing 24 home runs in 371 at-bats. However, the 31-year-old Cuban has just one home run in the month of July and has gone 7-for-48 (.146) with no homers, a double, two RBI, 18 strikeouts and three runs scored in 12 games dating back to July 15.
