Jorge Soler Returning To The Bench Wednesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler is not in the club's starting lineup Wednesday versus the Los Angeles Dodgers and right-hander Lance Lynn. Soler returned from a hip injury on Tuesday night and went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored but will predictably get a day off to rest after a one-week absence from game action. It's been a big season for the veteran, his second with the Marlins, as Soler is hitting .240 with 35 home runs, 71 runs, 71 RBI, and an .842 OPS across 126 appearances on the campaign. He also slugged 10 HR across 23 games in the month of August before injuring his hip on a swing in an Aug. 29 contest against the Tampa Bay Rays.
