Jorge Soler Resting Against Yankees
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler will start Saturday's game against the visiting New York Yankees on the bench. Josh Bell will get the start as the designated hitter and will bat second, with Yuli Gurriel starting at first base and batting seventh against Yankees right-hander Michael King. Soler has been swinging the bat well lately, but he went hitless in four at-bats on Friday with two strikeouts. So far in August, he's hitting .256 (10-for-39) with three home runs, a double, six RBI and five runs scored in 10 starts. The 31-year-old Cuban slugger swings and misses plenty, but he's an asset in all fantasy leagues for his power. He's currently slashing .244/.333/.495 with an .829 OPS, 28 long balls, 62 RBI and 62 runs scored in 112 games. Soler made his first All-Star team this year.
