Jorge Soler Leaves Early With Hip Tightness
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler (hip) left Tuesday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays early with right-hip tightness, according to the team. The injury occurred when Soler swung and missed at a pitch in the seventh inning. Until we know more on the severity of his hip injury, fantasy managers should consider the 31-year-old right-handed slugger to be day-to-day. Before leaving the eventual 11-2 blowout loss, Soler went 1-for-3 with a strikeout and was replaced in right field by Jesus Sanchez. Don't be surprised if the Fish hold him out of Wednesday's contest, even if the injury doesn't end up being all that serious. An All-Star for the first time in his career in 2023, Soler has provided plenty of power for fantasy managers, clubbing 35 long balls and 22 doubles while driving in 71 in 125 games this year.
