Jorge Soler Homers, Drives In Two In Loss
4 months agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Jorge Soler went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies. The home run was his first since joining the Braves at the end of July and now gives him 13 on the season. The 32-year-old has reached base via hit or walk in each game with his new team, with the stretch extending back even further than that, now with a 17-game on-base streak. During the 17-game stretch, the veteran is 19-for-59 (.322) with four doubles, three home runs, and a 15:18 BB:K. It has been a disappointing season as far as the power output is concerned after the former All-Star hit 36 home runs in 2023, but with a 14.6% barrel rate over these last 17 games (10.2% on the season), perhaps he'll finish strong.
