Jorge Soler Hits His Sixth Home Run
4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler hit a three-run home run in the first inning of Friday's game against the Minnesota Twins, his sixth home run of the year. It was his first home run since August 8th, ending a dry spell of nearly two weeks. Soler is slashing .255/.336/.489 on the season. His hard-hit rate this year (49.1%) is basically right where it was at in his monstrous 2019 season (50.1%) and his barrel rate this year (20%) is actually significantly higher than last year (16.9%). He's been held back by a disastrous strikeout rate of 35.9%, but he still should provide significant power to help carry you in home runs throughout the season.
