Jorge Soler Hitless Again
4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler struggled once again against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday during the club's 7-3 loss. He went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Entering this game Soler had a .202/.288/.360 triple-slash along with a subpar 82 OPS+ on the season. Consistently facing top-flight pitching in the division against the likes of Shane Bieber, Lucas Giolito, and Jose Berrios, Soler's ability to bounce back from a rough first month should be in doubt. Entering Tuesday, Soler's past two weeks saw him hit .250 with one home run and nine runs batted in. Those numbers hardly show the improvement necessary to view Soler as a regular option in most fantasy formats. Until he regains his missing power stroke, Soler belongs on the waiver wire in 12-man leagues.
