6 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler (toe) is still using crutches but could ditch them Friday when he is re-evaluated. He has been able to move his cast and use the water treadmill without issues, but he's still weeks away from rejoining the team. Soler was hitting well before his injury, batting .265 with nine home runs and 28 RBI in 223 at-bats, but he's a ways off and can be left on most waiver wires until he shows he's back and healthy. The good news is that he should be locked into an everyday role for the rebuilding Royals once he's ready.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
