Jorge Polanco Plates A Run In Blowout Loss
4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco continued his strong month of hitting in Monday's blowout loss to the White Sox. Polanco ripped an RBI single, which registered an exit velocity of 105.3 MPH- in the eighth inning off of White Sox reliever Jose Ruiz. The 27-year-old now has 13 hits in his last nine games- and is batting .308 with two long balls and 14 combined runs and RBI in May. Polanco is the hottest hitter in the Twins' lineup right now- and his hard contact percentage is the highest of his career. He'll get a tricky matchup on Tuesday against Lance Lynn, though he did go 1-for-3 with a double off of him in last week's meeting.
