Jorge Polanco Picks Up Two Hits And An RBI
4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI in a 3-1 win over the Indians. Polanco laced an easy single to left in the first inning, scoring Max Kepler and giving Minnesota the early lead. The 27-year-old has a respectable .270 batting average and 10 hits through nine games played, though fantasy owners would like to see more power from him. It's a small sample size, but Polanco's ground-ball percentage is four points higher than it was in 2019, though his fly-ball rate has remained the same. Perhaps three matchups with the lowly Pirates will help Polanco find his power stroke.
