Jorge Polanco Hits Career-High 23rd Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to Boston. Polanco went yard for the second straight contest, sending a ball 408 feet into the seats at 103.1 MPH. The long ball was his 23rd of the season, which sets a new career-high for the 28-year-old. Polanco has been one of the Twins' most steady hitters this season, producing a .274/.334/.491 slash line with 74 RBI, 74 runs, and 10 stolen bases. Polanco is hitting the ball harder than ever and has traded groundballs and line drives for fly balls- the results are excellent for he and his fantasy managers, as he's been one of the best fantasy middle infielders regardless of format.
