Jorge Polanco Exits Thursday With Ankle Soreness
3 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco (ankle) was removed from the second game of Thursday's doubleheader due to ankle soreness, according to Phil Miller of the Star Tribune. Polanco was replaced by pinch-hitter Willians Astudillo in the top of the sixth inning after going 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. At this point it doesn't sound like a major concern for Polanco, who has been heating up in the month of May by slashing .266/.356/.469 with two home runs, one steal, nine RBI and eight runs scored in 18 games. Managers in deeper formats and AL-only leagues will want to take a look at buying low on Polanco, as his .267 xBA and .450 xSLG suggest he could be in line to bounce back soon after a sluggish start to the year.
