Jorge Polanco Drives In Five Runs, Delivers Game-Winning Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and a stolen base in Sunday's 12-9 win over the Detroit Tigers. Polanco swiped a base after grounding into a fielder's choice in his first at-bat, then later drove in a season-high five runs on a pair of singles and a home run. Polanco's homer was his second straight, traveling at a whopping 107 MPH. The 28-year-old entered the All-Star break with a bang, having driven in eight runs in the last two games. Polanco is a solid contributor in all five categories, with a .252 average, 49 runs scored, 43 RBI, 12 homers, and seven stolen bases this season.
