Jorge Lopez Logs Fourth Save
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles reliever Jorge Lopez recorded his fourth save of the season on Saturday as his club defeated the Angels 5-4. The right-hander allowed a two-out single to Mike Trout, but was otherwise sharp by striking out two batters including a tough at-bat against Shohei Ohtani where he fell down 3-0 in the count before battling back to get the punch out. Lopez has allowed two runs through his first nine innings of work this season, pitching to a 1.13 WHIP and a 13/4 K/BB as the clear closing option for the O's. At this point he should be rostered in all formats that recognize saves.
