Philadelphia Phillies catcher Jorge Alfaro continued his topsy-turvy beginning to 2018 on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. The 24-year-old Colombian has been praised for his strong arm behind the plate, but at the plate he’s struggled to get in a rhythm, even resulting in lost starting time to backup catcher Andrew Knapp. Recently, however, Alfaro has begun to turn a corner, hitting .292 over his last seven games. On Tuesday he recorded a solo home run in his club's 4-2 victory, also picking up a walk. It was his fourth home run of the season to go with nine RBI.--RDelgado
