6 years agoThe Miami Marlins will shut down catcher Jorge Alfaro from any baseball-related activities due to inflammation in his right knee, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. Alfaro has been having knee issues since the end of February, and an awkward slide in Tuesday's game against the Mets didn't help either. The Marlins are hopeful that Alfaro will be ready for Opening Day when they begin the regular season against the Colorado Rockies on March 28.--Steven Slivka
