5 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro (concussion) was activated from the seven-day concussion injured list on Friday and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the win over the Phillies. Alfaro missed just the minimum on the concussion injured list. He's hitting .256/.306/.411 with nine home runs, 22 runs, 27 RBI and a steal in his 222 plate appearances in his first year in Miami. Alfaro hasn't been terrible with the bat, but he won't rack up the counting stats on a bad team. But he's still useful in two-catcher leagues as a promising young backstop.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
