Jorge Alfaro Removed From Game Mid-Plate Appearance
3 years agoMiami Marlins catcher/outfielder Jorge Alfaro was removed from Sunday's game in the middle of his plate appearance in the third inning due to "shortness of breath," according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald. Alfaro was 0-for-1 with a strikeout prior to his exit, as he's now slashing .230/.276/.333 on the year with three home runs, five steals, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored over 65 games. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now, and check for updates on his condition after the game.
