Jorge Alfaro Hits Two Singles On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro hit two singles in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Alfaro went 2-for-4, raising his batting average to .260 and his OPS to .628. His other two at bats ended in double plays, but he was the only Marlins starter to escape this game without a strikeout. Alfaro has mostly struggled this season (and in his Marlins career), but he can go on some decent hot streaks and may be at the start of one now. He's worth a look in deeper two-catcher formats.
