4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro got two more hits on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a run scored against the New York Mets. Both of Alfaro's hits were singles. He's hitting a robust .500 in Grapefruit League play so far with a 1.000 OPS. Alfaro reportedly worked extra hard this offseason on both his offense and his defense. After being benched in the playoffs last season for backup Chad Wallach, Alfaro has a make-or-break season ahead of him. For now, it seems like he'll get the starting job back, but he won't have too much leeway if he starts to struggle again. Still, he has some nice upside in two catcher leagues as long as he works his way back into the starting lineup.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
