4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro (hamstring) has started doing running and catching drills in his rehab. There hadn't been much news about Alfaro since he was placed on the injured list, so it's good to know his rehab is progressing somewhat. Now that the minor league season is getting underway, the Marlins will likely have Alfaro catch a game or two as part of a rehab assignment before he rejoins the big league team. Chad Wallach and Sandy Leon have been handling catching duties for the Marlins, so as poorly as Alfaro started the season, the team is desperate to have his upside back behind the plate.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
