6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher Jorge Alfaro will be behind the plate on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Backup catcher Andrew Knapp will sit. Outfielder Rhys Hoskins will serve as designated hitter in the interleague matchup, while Aaron Altherr, Odubel Herrera, and Nick Williams round out the outfield. The Phillies will face off against Kevin Gausman, who is having a tough year but has been solid in July. The only Phillies player to have faced Gausman is first baseman Carlos Santana, who has gone 2-for-7 against the right-hander. Expect the Phillies to take a couple of at-bats to get used to Gausman. That said, Maikel Franco and Hoskins have both been hot in July and are solid fantasy options on Thursday.--Mauricio Castillo
