Jorge Alcala Headed To Injured List With Triceps Tendonitis
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Jorge Alcala (triceps) is headed to the 10-day injured list with right triceps tendinitis. Alcala picked up a hold in Sunday's game against the Astros, serving up a home run while striking out two in one inning of work. The 26-year-old has pitched to a 5.11 ERA in 44 innings, though he owns a strong 1.09 WHIP and 43:11 strikeout-to-walk ratio to go along with it. Alcala isn't a contributor in redraft formats but certainly could have a future in dynasty leagues, as he has the tools, particularly his strikeout ability, to be the closer of the future for Minnesota.
