Jordan Yamamoto Allows 13 Runs In Under Three Innings
4 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Jordan Yamamoto set a record on Wednesday, allowing 13 runs on 11 hits and two walks in just 2 2/3 innings. Yamamoto somehow threw 94 pitches in a relief appearance and didn't even record nine outs. Brought in to mop up after started Pablo Lopez allowed seven runs in under two innings, Yamamoto made sure the Marlins would have no chance to come back in a game that ended 29-9. Yamamoto will almost certainly head back down to the Marlins alternate site after this one. He's simply not ready to go up against big league hitters at this point.
