Jordan Wilkins is the "Front-Runner" to Start Week 1
6 years agoAccording to Mike Wells of ESPN, Indianapolis Colts running back Jordan Wilkins is the "front-runner" to start in Week 1 if lead back Marlon Mack isn't ready. Wilkins wasn't exactly prolific this preseason, averaging 2.8 yards per carry on 27 rush attempts, but Mack still seems to be hobbled by his hamstring and fellow rookie Nyheim Hines would rather have his performance forgotten. Indianapolis figures to use a backfield rotation all season, meaning weekly headaches for fantasy owners. However, those in need of a spot start should look to Wilkins as a potential option.
