Jordan Wilkins Could See Increased Workload In Week 4
6 years agoDespite rain and an ineffective passing offense, Indianapolis Colts running back Jordan Wilkins only received six carries last week. While he wasn't highly effective, he should receive more attempts this week. The Houston Texans allowed New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley to average 4.8 yards per carry last week. In addition, veteran Marlon Mack (hamstring) is eyeing a return this week, but he should be limited. Wilkins is the more natural classic running back, so he should receive an increased workload if the Colts are able to get out to an early lead. Quarterback Andrew Luck has been dealing with shoulder soreness. If the team can lessen his workload with Wilkins, that would benefit Luck as well as Wilkins' fantasy owners. He doesn't offer a ton of value in the passing game, but he does garner flex consideration in deeper leagues with his ability to fall into the end zone.
