Jordan Staal Out Against Bruins
20 seconds agoCarolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal (lower body) has been ruled out for Saturday's clash against the Boston Bruins. Like Andrei Svechnikov (undisclosed), he has not joined the team for its four-game road trip. The Hurricanes captain will be unavailable for a fourth consecutive contest. Injuries in the offensive department have given Jackson Blake a first-line role, while Justin Robidas enjoyed a fine debut in Friday's meeting with the Detroit Red Wings. The 22-year-old notched an assist in a 5-3 loss. Blake has been on fire with four goals in four games, adding two assists.
