Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Staal has re-signed a four-year contract extension that breaks down to $2.9 million annually to stay in Raleigh. The veteran centerman scored 17 goals, added 17 assists, recorded 124 shots on goal, and carried a plus-7 rating across 81 games in the 2022-23 season. He logged two markers and six assists in 15 contests in the playoffs. The Hurricanes captain will return for his 18th NHL season in 2023-24, having recorded 645 career NHL points in 1173 games.
