Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal pushed his point streak to three games on Sunday with a two-point effort against Dallas. He had a power-play goal and short-handed assist in the game, which the Hurricanes won 4-3 in overtime. Brock McGinn scored the shorty and Nino Niederreiter found his way on the scoresheet as well. Staal now has four points through four games with 14 hits, eight shots, a plus-one rating, and two penalty minutes. He is looking to produce a bounce-back season after notching only 55 points across the last two campaigns, and the Hurricanes captain is certainly off to a great start.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal (lower body) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's contest against the Washington Capitals. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour noted that this move is precautionary. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to their next game on Friday evening against the Detroit Red Wings. He is currently riding a six-game scoreless streak. During this skid, Staal has logged nine hits, two blocks, and held a -2 rating. Through 71 total contests this season, the 36-year-old has found the back of the net has found the back of the net 12 times and added 21 helpers. Staal has added 127 hits with 99 shots on goal. Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal (lower body) will not be in action on Sunday against the New York islanders. He has been ruled out with a lower-body injury, sitting out for the second time in five games. Tyson Jost will be inserted back into the lineup as Staal's replacement. He will skate on the fourth line and does not have any fantasy value. Jesperi Kotkaniemi will start the game as the third-line center, with Jack Roslovic centering the second line. Staal will get some good recovery time after Sunday's action, as Carolina is not scheduled to play until Wednesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal has heated up recently and will enter Sunday's clash against Anaheim with a three-game goal streak. He can become the third player in franchise history to have a goal streak of at least four games at age 36 or older. Staal's current hot spell includes his fourth career hat trick, and the veteran has scored five times in the past three contests. He is also on a four-game point streak. Staal, who has tallied nine goals and 14 assists in 43 games across the season, last recorded a five-game point streak in December 2022.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
