Jordan Romano Throws Scoreless Ninth On Thursday
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano made his first appearance of the second half on Thursday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning to secure the 4-0 victory over the San Diego Padres. The right-hander experienced lower-back tightness during his All-Star game appearance and took some days off for treatment. His quick return is great for fantasy managers, as Romano has established himself as a premier closer the last couple of seasons, and over 38 2/3 innings this year, owns a 2.79 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 30.4% strikeout rate with 26 saves. The 30-year-old is a must-start in all leagues.
