Jordan Romano Posting Elite Numbers
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Jordan Romano continues to thrive as the team's closer. Romano has pitched to a 2.82 ERA and a 3.18 FIP in 22.1 innings for the Blue Jays this season, logging 26 strikeouts compared to just eight walks allowed. He's also registered 16 saves. Only Josh Hader, Taylor Rogers, and Kenley Jansen had more saves entering play on Wednesday. With the Blue Jays owning a 36-25 record so far and a 15-8 record in one-run games, Romano should continue to see plenty of save situations as the season progresses. He has a very real shot at leading the league in saves at the end of the year.
