Jordan Romano Likely To Avoid Injured List
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano (illness) is dealing with a gastrointestinal infection, according to Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins. He is currently being treated by antibiotics. The belief is that he will be able to suit up again soon and that he won't require a trip to the injured list. Romano has been a gem for fantasy managers so far this year. He's already racked up 12 saves across 14 save opportunities while pitching to a 3.07 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. Adam Cimber has converted two saves this week with Romano out. He pitched two straight days so he'll likely be unavailable Wednesday, but he's clearly established himself as the next-in-line closer behind Romano.
