Jordan Romano Collects 17th Save
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano threw a perfect ninth inning to secure a 3-2 victory over the Houston Astros. Romano struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner. The flamethrower now has a 2.77 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 26 IP. He is also 17-for-20 in save opportunities and has notched five saves in June alone. Those 17 saves are second in the MLB, behind only Emmanuel Clase. As the clear closer on a solid Toronto team, Romano is one of the elite fantasy options from the back end.
