Jordan Romano Closes Out 18th Game
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano tossed a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday to close out the team's 6-3 win over the Rays. He recorded a groundout, strikeout, and a pop out in the quick 11-pitch frame for his 18th save in 19 opportunities this season. The right-hander has been sharp nearly all season as he sits with a 2.41 ERA, and 1.05 WHIP with 73 K in 56 IP in his second year as the Jays closer. The only disappointing part of Romano's fantasy output is his relatively low save total, but he's offset that with a 7-1 record to give managers help elsewhere.
