Jordan Romano Allows Homer But Earns Save Tuesday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano did not have the cleanest outing but did pick up his 25th save of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rays. Romano entered to pitch the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He allowed a leadoff solo home run to Taylor Walls but then got the next three hitters out on a groundout, strikeout, and flyout. Romano has been excellent overall this season, converting all but three save opportunities with a 2.50 ERA.
