Jordan Reed Draws Attention In First 49ers Practice
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end Jordan Reed made his first appearance on the practice field on Tuesday and was showing solid pass-catching and route-running skills. Reed signed with the 49ers on August 9 and had been sitting out practice as he eased back into football activities. Reed missed the entirety of the 2019 season after a suffering a concussion in the preseason. This year, Reed is reuniting with 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, who was Reed's offensive coordinator his rookie year in Washington. There's little fantasy upside for Reed as long as the team's starting tight end George Kittle is healthy, but it's a no doubt good to see the oft-injured Reed back on the field and making plays. If nothing else, Reed could provide for extra veteran support for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
