Jordan Montgomery To DL, Out 6-8 Weeks
7 years agoAfter shockingly exiting Tuesday night’s game following just seven pitches through an easy inning of work, New York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery was diagnosed with an elbow strain. On Wednesday after visiting with New York Yankees physician Christopher Ahmad, the 25-year-old is expected to miss six to eight weeks, which is a huge blow to the club. The Yankees rotation now takes a major hit, with Domingo German being the immediate fix. As a result of Montgomery’s DL stint, the club signed pitcher David Hale to a major league contract, bringing him up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. German could be a streaming candidate in deeper leagues in the right matchups.
