3 months agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery will shift to the bullpen going forward. The D-Backs made Montgomery the odd man out with six healthy starters right now. The left-hander has been awful to the tune of a 6.44 ERA with a 67/36 K/BB ratio across 19 starts this season. Before this season, Montgomery had a solid track record over multiple seasons. The 2024 campaign is by far his worst of his professional career. The D-Backs will give the starting spot to Ryne Nelson who will take the mound against the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Nelson has posted quality starts in each of his last two outings, so he should be worth a look as a streaming option for Friday's slate.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
