Jordan Montgomery Earns Quality Start Despite No-Decision
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery pitched well despite not factoring into the decision on Wednesday. Montgomery notched a quality start, pitching six innings while allowing three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. The southpaw worked 1-2-3 frames in the first two innings, including a strikeout of the side in the second, and kept the runs off the board until the fourth, when he allowed all three. Montgomery has now pitched at least five innings and allowed three runs or less in each of his last two starts, with a May 11 matchup against the Rays coming up. Montgomery has allowed eight runs in two starts against Tampa Bay this season.
