Jordan Montgomery Could Return In August
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery (elbow) hasn't had any setbacks in his rehab from Tommy John surgery and will be able to start throwing breaking pitches in bullpens next week. Without setbacks, Montgomery has been told that a return in August is possible. The 26-year-old left-hander went 2-0 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in six starts (27 1/3 innings) in 2018 before he required elbow reconstruction. He could be an option for the Yankees rotation in the second half, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect much from him the rest of the year.
