Jordan Mason Risky In Week 7
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason will ride with uncertainty to Minnesota where his team will face the Vikings on Monday night. Mason was a popular waiver target this week as fantasy managers jostled to take advantage of the Christian McCaffrey oblique injury that has kept him questionable all week. That waiver arrow may not have hit the mark, however. Managers are now faced with the prospect of saving a spot for Mason in their lineups Sunday by benching a sure thing, only to have McCaffrey take his usual workload on Monday. In addition, fellow backup Elijah Mitchell is fully healthy and ahead of Mason on the depth chart. In Mason's favor though, is that he outperformed Mitchell last Sunday in Cleveland with five carries for 27 yards and a touchdown to Mitchell's two carries for minus-three yards. If we know McCaffrey is out, Mason is startable in a bye-heavy week. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
