Jordan Lyles Hit Hard In Rehab Start
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Jordan Lyles (forearm) gave up seven runs in three innings with Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday on eight hits (one homer) while striking out two and walking two. He threw only 33 of his 56 pitches for strikes. He has allowed 11 runs in 5 2/3 innings and posted a 2.82 WHIP over his two rehab starts. That's not a good sign and the Padres will likely want to see better results before they activate him. Lyles had a nice little run with the Friars earlier this year but has a 4.46 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 56 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings over 21 appearances (eight starts). He's well off the fantasy radar right now but could once again become a deep league streamer if he returns and proves himself again.
