Jordan Love Tosses Touchdown In Preseason Opener
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 7-of-10 passes for 46 yards and a touchdown during the team's 36-19 preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals rested their starters to open the preseason, Love had a solid showing he needed to get his career as the Packers' starting quarterback off right. The first drive started strong with a couple of completions to running back Aaron Jones and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, but it resulted in a punt after a few missed deep throws. The next drive was much better, with the 24-year-old completing 5-of-6 passes, ending the drive with a 9-yard touchdown strike to Romeo Doubs. For what it is worth, the Packers starter spread the ball around fairly evenly between Christian Watson, Doubs, and Musgrave. We should see more from the fourth-year quarterback next Saturday night when the Packers take on the New England Patriots.
