Jordan Howard 2020 Outlook: Improved Role in an Improved Offense
5 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Jordan Howard will have an improved role in what will almost certainly be an improved offense in 2020. Howard ended up missing a lot of the 2019 season after suffering a shoulder injury, but the Dolphins were confident enough in his health to sign him to a two-year contract and not take any running backs in the draft despite plenty of picks. They did trade for Matt Breida, who should handle the backfield for third downs and hurry up situations. Howard will be the early-down banger and should get most of the goal line work though, so as long as he can stay healthy, Howard should have legitimate flex value in 2020, with touchdown upside for more than that on weeks where the Dolphins offense clicks.
