Jordan Holloway Struggles In His First Big League Start
4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie pitcher Jordan Holloway struggled in his first major league start on Monday. Holloway had been working out of the bullpen for Miami and was pitching extremely well, which earned him a spot in the starting rotation. Things didn't go nearly as well for him as a starter though, as he made it through just 3 2/3 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while only recording one strikeout. Holloway was having a hard time locating his pitches, either missing the corners by a lot for a ball, or splitting the plate with middle-middle fastballs. He may get another chance to start in five days, but Holloway's future seems to be as a bullpen asset.
