Jordan Hicks Moving To A Low-Leverage Role
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told reporters on Sunday that right-hander John Hicks will pitch in low-leverage situations for the time being, according to John Denton of MLB.com. The 26-year-old has posted an ugly 12.71 ERA with six punchouts and eight walks across 5.2 innings. Hicks has been an effective reliever in the past but hasn't produced an ERA below 4.84 since 2019 and has struggled to stay healthy. With this news, fantasy managers that were holding onto the former 2015 draft pick should let him go in virtually every league, as he won't participate in save or hold situations.
